known plums. More favors were
wrapped in colored tissue paper and
could only be redeemed by match
ing the paper with a.bow of ribbon
of the same shade. Prettiest of all
was the flower pardeu. where crim
son poinsettias bloomed in a green
tissue paper flower bed. and when
they were picked, revealed favors on
their stems.

two of her devoted, friends, Fido and
Boots. Fido's looks belie him. He is
