she and her husband left fcr Salt

Captain of Police John E. Briggs
said that Mrs. Hendricks had given
the police several valuable clues as
to the slayer of her brother and that
she said her brother's trunk had been
rifled. Mr. Hendricks also told Cap
tain Briggs her brother, was a mem
ber in good standing of the Knights
nd Ladies of Security Benefit asso

$1,000.
She said she would have the body
of her brother taken up and buried
in a grave beside the body of his
father, who died some time ago and
i interred in Forest Lawn cemetery.
The sister will remain in Omaha in
definitely to assist the police in
locating the murderer of her brother.

Two Omaha girls, who were re
ported missing from their homes,
turned up yesterday afternoon and
fell into the clutches of the juvenile
court officials. i
Mrs. Jack Wilson, 5805 South
Fifteenth street, appealed to South
V Side police Tuesday to institute a
search for her daughter,- Alice Mul
' ford, 15, who, said, had dropped
from sight after leaving- home to go
for an automobile ride with a young
man. . '
Police search for the girl availed
nothing." The mother became frantic
J with grief and according to neigh-
Voors, refused to eat because of the
absence of her child.
Yesterday morning, Mrs. M. Ralth,
2763 South Ninth street, told police
her daughter, Mane, 14 left home
Wednesday with two other girls of
the neighborhood. :--r-V
About 11 yesterday morning, Mrs.
Wilson received a telephone call
.from Alice. " 5 '
"I'll be right home," the girl told
. her mother, according to police re
ports. Don't Worry, I'm all right."
Patrolmen Jackman and Pleming
of the South Side station were noti
fied.
But the girl did not appear at
her home until about 1:30. With
here were Marie Ralth, daughter of
Mike KaJth, Union Pacitic watch
man, and the girl reported missing by
her mother yesterday morning, and
a youth who gave his name as John
Barwich, 19, 3354 T street.
When Officer Jackman and Flem
' ing reached the Wilson home, they
found the trio seated in the parlor.
None of them would give any ac
count of their absence and police
took them in custody to be turned
over to the juvenile authorities.
Meanwhile police are seeking an
other youth believed to have been a
member of the quartet of runaways,

It I Ih view of two of the leader
in the escort trade In wheat that tha
tatlatica on wheat will again be a aource
f disappointment to operators in this
rain before the end of the crop year.
Moat or tha buying at tne preaent time
la baaed on the belief that supplies of
wheat will be eatremely low six months
from now.
This is not the belief or the export
ere referred to. They concede a big de
mand throughout the crop year, but are of
the opinion that unless there Is a taillcal
crop calamity In the southern hemlsnntre,
Europe will ne a Die to nuy its supplies
without difficulty, and will refuse to pay
any more for wheat than absolutely neces
cv.
Native crops In Europe, It la said, will
be- used more economically than oer
before, and while Rueela will require some
wheat and other grain. It Will be avail
able. Thla view la contrary to that held
by many ot the leading grain men of
the country, who believe world suppll
are too closely adjusted to permit any
confidence In lower prices prei,ling.
There was no chsnge In cash wu si pre.
