Man Missing 1 8 Years
Appears at Old Home;
Finds Wife Remarried
Joliet, III., Aug. 16. A. W. Swan
son, 3t, "long dead" husband, walked
into a law officer here today and
asked how lie could regain his estate
which was settled in the Will county
court two years ago by his wife, who
is now married again. The former
Mrs. Swanson married Harry Bee
man, a. California business man, in
1918, after she had neither seen nor

18 years, i
According to Mrs. Swanson's
story, she married Mr, Swanson
when she was 17 years old. . They
lived happily for two years when
her husband suddenly disappeared,
supposedly to find work in Virginia.
Left alone with an infant son, Mrs.

until she had the estate settled. When
the estate was settled she married

Mr. Swanson made no indication
that he would try to uphold his past,
lie admitted he had given his family
no notice of his whereabouts.
