Last year we did not hold an
August fur sale. After a faithful
study of market conditions we con
cluded that in August, 1920, fur
prices were higher than they would
be during the winter months. Our
decision was upheld by subsequent
lower prices and our customers who
adopted our advice to make no fur pur
chases in August, 1920, profited accord
ingly. Nw Is the Time to Buy
This year the same faithful
study of market conditions brings
us to the conclusion that August of
1921 is the time to buy furs. The
wisdom of this year's advice is
strengthened by the big advantage
which Brandeis Stores' buyers ob
tained in the 1921 market. These
buyers went into the market in
July. They found manufacturers, after
a season of business slowed up by pro
hibitive prices, hungry for money and
willing to let go their enormous stocks at
prices involving a sacrifice. They were
anxious to obtain cash to meet later re
quirements. Brandeis Stores was pre
pared to pay cash and the advantages
thus obtained are passed to our custom

Never before have the styles shown
such beauty and diversity of line, and
never have the skins used so beautifully
completed the ideas. Countless new fea
tures are shown in the furs best suited
to display them. Tuxedo collars are
'strikingly new and show a refreshing
contrast to the wide collars so long in

styles, and various innovations carried
out in sleeves, cuffs, collars and pockets
make the new styles an interesting study.
