leged abduction of Miss Frances
Harmon, 15, daughter of "Tom"
Harmon; prominent stockmen of the

of Craig, were arrested on the charge
of abducting the girl. The girl is
alleged to have left Sundance last
Wednesday night with the two men

Get Electric Current
From Aberdeen, S. D.
Rcdfield, S. D., July 26. (Special.)
A plan to solve the difficulties of
the Spink County Power company
is now proposed which contemplates
the building of a transmission line
from a generating plant at Aberdeen
to connect with the present lines of
the company at Mellette. Each
town on the present line is asked to
vote bonds to make up a sum with
which this transmission line will be
built.
The plan is not a part of the re
ceivership settlement, but considers
taking the present system over, sat
isfying the creditors and starting
with a clean slate.
It is suggested that the current
can be purchased of the large Aber
deen plant at less cost than under
the present system with a plant at
Ashton.

One of the largest crowds ever
assembled at DeWitt gathered to pav
final tribute to illiam Wood, sol
dier killed in action in the late war.
The body, escorted by comrades,
was t:iken to the city park where
funeral services were held. Rev. E.
L. Jcambey and Chaplain Broylcs of
Beatrice officiating. Burial was in
DeWitt cemetery.
