There has been a great deal of comment about these questions and many people have considered that Mr. Edison's list did not give a fair rating of the intelligence of the person under examination. At the present time qualifying oneself to get or hold a good job is the paramount question with most people. For the entertainment of the many who are interested in this subject, The Bee is printing a list of questions of a general nature. These questions . are o f f ered as a fair test of the intel ligence of the ordinary person who holds an ordinary job and to make it interesting to our readers we are offering cash prizes for answers. In cash for answering these questions and 99 others will get cash prizes ranging from $1.00 to $500.00 each Here is a chance to prove that you not only are intelligent enough to hold the ordinary job, but also that you are intelli gent enough. to grasp the opportunity to make extra money when this opportunity is offered to you. It costs nothing to submit your answer it should take very little effort and'you do not need to be a subscriber to The Bee in order to have your answers given every con sideration. ' : ' It will not be required that the answers assume any partic ular form or nujnber of words or follow the wording of any dic tionary, encyclopedia or. reference work to be considered cor rect. Any answer that is a common sense correct answer to the question will be counted correct. : You may submit as many 1 ists of answers as you like, but only one prize will be awarded in a household. Send in your first list of answers as soon as you have it ready. 1, Any man or woman who is not an employe of The Omaha Bee may submit an answer. 2. Any person may fill out and send in as many questionnaires ai he or she may wish, but only one prize will be awarded in the ' same household. Each question naire will be considered as a unit and not in conjunction with any other questionnaire sent in by the same person. Only one an swer is allowed to each question on each questionnaire, and this answer must be written in the space immediately following each question. 8. Write your full name and ad dress on each sheet of questions in the space provided for that purpose. 4. All answers must be brought to the office of The Omaha Bee by 6 p. m. August 31, 1921, or mailed by your postoff ice closing time August 31, 1921. This prize offering closes at 6 p. m. on the above date and answers sent by mail must be post marked not later than August 31 in order to be eligible. R ULES 6. The answer lists submitted will be judged as follows: First For the number of cor rect answers. Second- For the selection of the thirty questions which would best determine the fitness of an applicant Third For neatness, spelling, etc. The answer list containing the greatest number of correct an swers to the questions printed will be awarded first prize and so on down the list until the 25 prizes in each classification nave been awarded. In case of 8 tie or ties in the number of correct answers the tying questionnaires will be judged for "The Thirty 'Best' Questions" selected, and the - prizes will be awarded in each classification according to the precedence as determined by the judges. If, after judging lists for correct answers and then judging the se lections of the 30 "best" ques- tions, ties still exist, the lists will be judged for neatness, spelling, etc., in order to determine the prize winners.
