Omaha friends of Miss Annis Chaikin of Lincoln, who formerly re sided here, have received announce ment of her marriage in Kansas City last Saturday to C. A. Sorenson of Lincoln. Mrs. Sorenson has been editor of the Alumni Journal and sec rctary of the alumni association at the University of Nebraska for the past six years. She was graduated from that institution in 1908 and took her master's degree there two years liter. Mr. Sorenson completed his law course at the state university in 1913. Formal Announcement. Friends of Marie Arictte Caldwell and Ralph Scranton Doud have re ceived format announcement of their marriage, which took place Satur day, July 2. R. Murphy and son, George, and Miss Katherinc Murphy of Chicago, left Thursday for a motor trip to Sioux City, la. Mrs. John Daugherty of Greeley, Neb., who has been, ill for several weeks in St. Catherines hospital, has entirely recovered and has returned to her home. . Franklin Harding, jr., of Holdrege, Neb., who has been visit ing Mr. and Mrs. Edward O'Don nell, jr., left Wednesday for Tarkio, Mo., where she will visit her mother. - Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Hanley of Chicago, formerly of Omaha, have returned to the city to make their home. . They are with Mrs. Han ley's mother, Mrs. J. Duff, for the present. Harry Palmer has gone east to join his mother, Mrs. Alma Palmer, and brother. Arthur, at Boston. Mrs. Talmer was a guest recently at the Edward MacDowell colony in Peter borough, N. H. . Mr. and Mrs. Mark Coad have re turned from a motor trip to Chicago. They plan to motor to Minnesota next month to join their daughter, Catherine Coad, who is spending the summer there. Mrs. W. W. Upon his return Mr. Patterson re ceived word from his daughter, Eugenia, who is in Czecho-Slovakia, that she would return to America in October, visiting Omaha at that time.
