Smith, local Hudson-Essex dealer. -"These cars are not immune from wear. Nothing that moves is. But in the Super-Six wear 15 so slow and compensating adjustments so simply made that nothing short of gross neglect will diminish its smooth ness and capacity for many years. "And the fact that Hudson body lines' have been so consistently ex pressive of good taste, makes them acceptable when more extreme types have become 'old-fashioned.' " ' Condition of Col. Jewell Is Reported Improved The condition of Col. B. W. Jewell, 73, vice president and sovereign ad viser of the Woodmen of the World, is reported improved at the Ford hospital. Bee Want Ads Produce Results- Building Boosted By Exemption of Tax on New Homes New N. Y. State Law Acts as Stimulus to Business Similar Legislation Urged Here. Local home builders last week commented considerably on a report in the Builders'. Journal, a national magazine, relative to the operation in New York state of a law ex empting new houses from taxation. This law exempts from taxation for 10 years $5,000 of the value of any new home, and $1,000 a room in any new apartment house in which the apartments have five ppoms or less. This magazine says the law, which has been in effect only a short time, has already stimulated business. Many Omaha builders believe such a law would be a stimulant to build ing homes in Omaha.
