The marriage of Misi Idella Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown of South Bend, Neb., and Daniel Ray Corley of Rock Island, 111., formerly of Omaha, took place Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Henry White of this city. Rev. C. A. Burkholder officiated. Miss Alice Corley, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid and Russell Marsh served as best man. Mr. Corley and his bride will be at home in Rock Island after July IS. Roesky-Landwehrkamp. The marriage of Miss Minnie Latidwchrkamp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Landwehrkamp. and Robert H. Rocsky took place Tuesday afternoon at the German Congregational church, Rev. R Hilkerbaumer, officiating. Following the ceremony a recep tion was held at the home of the bride's parents. Engagement Announced. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Goldenherg announce the engagement of their oaughtcr. Miss Kosal'.nd, to Harry Bennet Sher of Los Angeles. Miss Goldcnberg is at present in Los Angeles, where she has been attending the University of SoutHern California for the past year. ' Personals Miss Guenn Godard has returned from Milwaukee, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Cohn have returned from the Pacific coast. ' Miss Margaret Howes left Thurs day to spend July in Minneapolis. Mrs. C. M. Grucnther returned Thursday from Faltte Center, Neb. tr. Mr. and Mrs. Joy Sutphen leave Monday for a motor trip to New York City and other eastern points, f Mrs. Claude M. Skinner and son, Claude, jr., will leave Saturday to spend the summer in the Black Hills. Mr. and Mrs. John Powers of Pasadena, Cal., formerly of Omaha, are visiting at the George Powers home. Mrs. L. C. Nash and children left Thursday for Cape" Cod where they will spend the summer. Mr. Nash leaves Saturday. Mrs. E. W. Norris, who has been visiting her sister in O'Neill, Neb., for the past few weeks is expected , home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Burns, who have spent the past month at Ex celsior Springs, are expected home the first of the week. Lawn Party. A lawn party was given by Mil dred Bildt at her home last Saturday evening. Dorothy Collier entertained at an afternoon bridge Friday and Miss Josephine Congdon will give a dinner Saturday evening in honor of Miss Rogers. Chi Fsi Alumni fraternity met at the Country club Friday evening for dinner. Covers were placed for 25. Picnic Party. The women of Moosehcart Legion will entertain at a picnic to he held in Hanscom park on Saturday afternoon and evening, July 2. V We Close All Day Monday July 4th Surprise Party. A surprise party was given Tues day evening in honor of Margaret McCabe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McCabe, by a group of her friends at the McCabe home. The guests were: Margaret Monahan, Mary McEvoy, Elizabeth Kinney, Loretta Brennan, Clarice Howard, Melitta Dempsey, Martha Clarke, Margaret Traynor, Catherine Lan nan, Ursula Nalty, Margaret Kel- Luncheon. Mrs. Morton Engleman enter tained at a morning bridge party, followed by luncheon, at her home The marriage of Miss Frances Dennison and Vernon J. Ragan took place Wednesday afternoon at the Mr., and Mrs. Morton Engleman will motor to Lake Okoboji to spend July 4. They will join Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cooper of Chicago there. Mr. and Mrs. Harry B. Fleharty will leave within a few days for their farm near Anderson, Mo., in the Ozark mountains, to' be gone six weeks. ? Mrs. Birger Kvenild and sons, John and Robert Lee. left Thursday for .Madison Lake, Wis., where they will spend the remainder of the summer. Miss Betty Fairfield, who has been visiting Emily Burke, has gone to Green Bay, Wis., where she will spend the remainder of the summer at a girl's camp. Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Kountze and son, Leslie Kountze of New York City, who have been visiting at the Charles T. Kountze home, have gone to Colorado. Lura Anson of Los Angeles, who has been visiting at the Lee Huff home, will spend Saturday in Ne braska City. She leaves Sunday to return to Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Smith, and two children, Mary Jane and Mar guerite, and Miss Donna Hawes and Warner Smith left Friday for a mo tor trip to Dallas, S. D. Mr. and Mrs. Ware Hall, who have been honeymooning -abroad, will return to the United States the middle of July. They are expected in Omaha about August 1. Miss Esther Smith, and Richard Mallory, left Monday for her home, accompanied by her nephew, Hugh Smith, who will spend the summer in Canada.
