Miss Mona, are making an in definite stay abroad. Lemon-Swenson. The marriage of Miss Bess Swen son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Swenson, and Keith Lemon, son of Rev. L. C. Lemon of Osago, la., took place VVednesdaj evening at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lemon left imme diately after the ceremony for Estes park, where they will reside. Both were graduated from Cornell college, MounfVernon, la. Dresler-McCarthy. The marriage of Miss Margaret M. McCarthy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. McCarthy and W. B. Dresler of Omaha, will take pjace Thursday morning at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Rev. Father Leary officiating. Miss Catherine Evans will be the bridesmaid and L. J. Kelly will serve as best man. Curry-Anderson. The marriage of Miss Bernice Anderson of this city, formerly of Clinton, la., and Eric. G. Curry of Boston,' son of Samuel Curry of Omaha, will take place Monday at 11 a. m. at All Saints church, Rev. Thomas Cassidy officiating. Following a honeymoon at Nantas ket Beach, Mass., Mr. Curry and his bride will be at home in Milton, Mass. Engagement Announced. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Stein announce the engagement of their daughter, Gertrude, to Samuel Schlaifer, son of Mr, and Mrs. Philip Schlaifer of this city. Following a honeymoon at Hot Springs, S. D., the couple will be at home in Merriman. Mrs. Evans attended Brownell Hall and studied music under Miss Mary Munchhoff and Sophie Niamski. . Miss Helen Reed, a student at Wells college, Aurora, N. Y., is ex pected home Sunday. Miss Reed has been spending the past 10 days at a girls' camp at Silver Bay, N. Y. . Miss Jean Kennedy, who attended Mount Holyoke school in Massa chussets, is expected home Sunday from Silver Bay, N. Y., where she has been spending the past two weeks. Miss Gertrude Seely of Ashville, N. C, who was to be a bridesmaid at the wedding of Miss Olga Metz and Dri H. H. Davis, will not be present at the ceremony owing to illness in her family. Mrs. W. R. Adair and daughter, Marjory, left Wednesday for De catur, 111., to attend the wedding of Mrs. Adair's niece, Elizabeth Parks, to Harvey Firestone. Mrs. Adair will summer in the east Mrs. George Thummel, with little daughter, leaves this week for Roch ester, N. Y. In August Mrs. Thum mel will join the senior Thummel family at their summer place at Richards Landing, Canada. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Davis and daughter, Miss Elizabeth and Miss Meme Davie will go east about the middle of July to spend the re mainder of the summer at Atlantic Gty and other eastern points. Harry Haynes, son of Mr. and Mrs. C C. Haynes,, leaves Sunday for West Point United States Mili tary academy, which he will enter July 1. He will be accompanied by Kenneth Evans, son ot Dr. W. S. Evans of Columbus, who also enters West Point Dr. William Harpe of Chicago is spending this week at the George Brandeis home. Mr. and Mrs. Bran deis, leave Saturday night for New York, where they will spend about 10 days, after which they will join Mrs. Karl Louis and her children at Spring Lake, Minnetonka. Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Aldous and daughter, Virginia and son, Fred erick, will motor to Madison Lake, Minn., the latter part of July. Mr. and Mrs. Aldous and family are annual guests at the lake where Virginia is one of the best of the younger swimmers of the cplony. The Rev. A. T.
