You don't carry a Vest Pocket Kodak you wear it like a watch. It is a vest
pocket camera that will really go in the vest pocket. With its fixed focus
and its automatic shutter, it is ready, always, for the unexpected that is sure
to happen.
When your larger camera might be a burden on strenuous hikes, on business
trips, on every occasion when you are not on a picture-making trip, but may
nevertheless want to make pictures the Vest Pocket Kodak is unobtrusively
ready.
The Kodak Anastigmat Lens f.1.1 with which this model is equipped is of our own manufacture,
designed and made solely for use on this camera. The idea back of this lens was to so equip a
Vest Pocket Kodak that it would make negatives of such extreme sharpness that satisfactory en
largements could be made in any size. It has justified the work of our optical experts. It pro
duces negatives of that crispness and sharpness characteristic of the true anastigmat.

era is of the fixed focus type. When
the front is pulled out it is ready
on the instant for street scenes or
views, for any object that is 9 feet
or more distant. For "close-ups",
that is for portraits or pictures
of flowers and the like, a Kodak
Portrait Attachment (Price 75 cents)
is simply slipped on over the regular
lens. The accompanying illustra
tions show how effective it is for either class of picture.
The Kodak Ball Bearing Shutter has speeds of 12S and 150 of a second
for snap-shots and has the usual time and "bulb" actions for pro
longed exposures. It is an unusually reliable shutter, works smoothly
and is quiet in its action.
Tou can date and title every negative at the time of exposure, for the
Vest Pocket, tiny as it is, carries this exclusive Kodak feature. You
may not always care to date and title a negative but you should always
be able to. The date on the negative of a child, the title of some view or
historic bit that is seen in your travels, is more than likely to be of prime
importance. And there is no extra charge for autographic film.
In every detail the Vest Pocket Kodak Specials show quality. They
work with mechanical precision; in finish they are rich, quiet, unob
trusive. In action they are efficient.
The price, $15.00, includes the excise war tax, and autographic film
cartridges for 8 exposures are but twenty-five cents.
