Columbus. Neb., June 9. (Spe
cial Telegram.) After a spirited
contest in which Fremont and Hast
ings ran neck and neck for three
ballots, the former city was named
the meeting place of the Nebraska
State Pharmaccntical association
next summer. The first ballot stood
41 each, the second ballot the same
and the third 4o to 40 m lavor oi
Fremont. Another contest of much
interest was in the question of ap
proving or turning down the Mich
clson bill introduced"" in the legisla
ture last winter, that will be rein
troduced two years hence. The bill
iises the requirements necessary to
ficcome a registered druggist. It
would require three years and a
graduation from an accredited school
of pharmacy ass well as graduation
from high school as a preliminary.
