Rocoe Sarles finished .second, three minutes behind Milton. The victory gave Milton $20,000 for first place and more than $8,000 in lap prizes. The time was 5 hours, J4 minutes. 44:05 seconds, an average ot 8.(c miles per hour, a new track record for cars of not more than 18J cubic inches piston displacement. The car started by Percy Ford and driven by lillingbee at the end, finished third, nine laps behind Mil ton. Jimmy Murphy, who replaced tddie Miller, was tourtn. Haibe finished fifth and Boyer, who replaced Guyot, was sixth. Vail was seventh. Hill, who gave way to Wonderlich and then replaced him, was eighth and MtiUord ninth All the other cars were out. Leads at 300 Miles. Tommy Milton took the lead in today's 500-mile automobile race at the '300-mile mark when Ralph Te. Hubatka Umpires Booster Game, Then Joins Booster Crew The result of the officiating of Umpire Frank Hubatka, at the Dold Packing Co.-Woodinen of the World Booster contest yes terday afternoon, which was pro tested by the losers, is fast de veloping into a merry plot , Frank got aore. The Boosters' arguments made him furious. A few minutes after the game, Man ager C. J. Bergert announced that Hubatka will play with the Dold team.
