8 Police Seek Youth Caught Joyriding in Garage Automobile to appear for a liearing yesterday afternoon in answer to charges filed by S. A. Zapp of Zapp's garage. The gurage owner discovered Sunday evening that a new machine had been taken out of the place. He reported the affair to police. An officer was stationed near the garage and about 2 Monday morning Herfttrth ap of cars from his garage for the pur pose of joy riding has been going on for the past two months, but he was never able to get sufficient evi dence to bring a charge. Herfurth failed to appear for hear ing and investigation is said to show that he signed his father's, name to a check and bought passage on a westbound train. Severe Windstorm Damages Buildings And Destroys Crops ' Ogallala, Neb., May 24. (Special.) A. windstorm- of cyclonic nature passed through Ogallala and parts of Keith county, doing much damage to crops and buildings. Mrs. Lau derbaugh, living on a farm north of blown down, but not a chicken in jured. West of Ogallala the storm struck the Searlc aviation field, took the roof off the hangar and carried it a quarter of a mile. One side of the building was blown in and the airplane damaged considerably. Two big barns on the Fclton and Apolius pbces were blown down. Some hail was reported near Brule. Bloomfield Man Arrested When Still Found iu Room Bloomfield. Neb., May 24. (Spe cial Telegram.) A copper still in op eration and IS gallons of mash were seized in a raid made by Mayor Cun ningham and Marshal Hassnian. Peter Suhr, in whose room the still was found, was arrested and lodged in jail. . Fire Damages Lunch Room Pawnee City, Nek, May 24. (Special.) l ire damaged the interior of Wilson Brothers' news stand and lunch house when a gasoline stove exploded. The gas tank is some dis tancc from the stove", feeding through a hose.
