MY DEARS: The time has come to devote the attention: of the
shopping department to two of the most interesting personages of the
season June Brides and the Sweet Girl Graduate. May their happiest
hours of the next few weeks be but the beginning of a happy future.
For the weddings of early summer the traditional theme of bridal
white is expressed in rich silken weaves. The June bride will find gra
ciously lovely silken weaves awaiting her choice, the clear white taking
the place of ivory. Pronounced favor is given to Brocaded Canton Crepe,
having the decided background of plain .Canton crepe with brocades of
satin, to be used for the entire gown,, and very effective when veiled
with tulle. .
Plain satin crepe, of rich lustre, soft and clinging, adapting itself
in charming lines of graceful individuality.
Plain Canton crepe, the heavy soft qualities in rough effect, the bet
ter qualities possessing the right lustre and draping" effects a texture
to' smartly offset the veil of lace. s.

Eyen at that the sleeve is apt to be

when embroidered.
The combination of different ma-'

feature for several seasons, is also
carried out on some of the new suits
with great success. Combination
suits are again popular, this mode at
present consisting of a jacket or

usually showing a stripe or a plaid.
The skirt of course cleverly pleated
to display dashing color when the
