" The next two and qne-half weeks are bound to decide a .whole
lot in The Bee's $25,000 Help Yourself Club. A person can begin
now and accomplish wonders in the next few Jays. Work during the
next two and one-half weeks will bring in more votes for you than
it will at any other time during the campaign.
Do you realize what it means? It means that it is the first great
strategical time of the campaign. Whenever the cash you have turned
in to cover subscriptions, since you joined the Club, reaches a total of
$25.00, then the extra vote offer begins to operate in your favor.
You have then earned the 100,000 extra votes. Every dollar above
$25.00 counts you 4,000 more extra votes. Read the details in this
advertisement. There will be three extra vote offers during the
Club contest. The present one which closes May 14, at 10 p. m ,
is the best one. It requires very little figuring to realize that dur
ing the present offer it is the time to do your work.
NOW IS THE TIME TO ENTER
The $25,000 Help Yourself Club is still in its infancy. In fact,
there has been nothing done by those now entered in the way of
securing subscription payments. Scan the list of club members as
published today and if your town or locality is not now represented
be an up and doing person, get in yourself. Fill out the Entry
Blank and you will be on your way toward becoming the owner of
one of these magnificent awards. THE LIST PUBLISHED TO
DAY SHOWS THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE BUSY AND ALSO
THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT -BUSY. It doesn't show any
great advantage secured by anyone. It does shov,that the campaign
is very young. Eight and one-half weeks is ample time in which
to win that $7,800 Home, that $4,440 Cadillac, that $1,500 Build
ing and Loan Deposit, or one of the eight Maxwells, and still every
day should be made to count, none should be ipiored for its possi
bilities to boost your score, especially in the next two and one-half
weeks.
DO NOT HOLD SUBSCRIPTIONS
Club members do not need to hold subscription payments until
they have secured $25.00, before sending them in. The extra vte
offer reads: "That no matter in what denomination the money
comes in the extra votes will be given." To illustrate how it works:
Suppose a Club member, by May 14th, at 10 p. m., has turned in
subscriptions to the amount of $25.00, the member will then be en
titled to an extra ballot of 100,000 votes. If the member turns in
$30.00 worth of subscriptions, 120,000 extra votes will be given. In
other words, the larger amount of money turned in during this pe
riod to cover subscriptions, the larger the extra vote ballot will be.
Remember that this is all in addition to the regular votes as shown
in the voting schedule.
REDUCTION IN PRICE
The reduction in the price of our Daily and Sunday, by mail,
from $9.00 to $7.50 per year, which will be in effect during the
campaign only, should give you a wonderful talking point. Take
fullest advantage of it. Refer to the voting schedule in this issue
and see the new price as well as to learn how easy it is to secure a
large number of votes. Subscriptions to The Bee were never hard
to secure. This big reduction in the price will make it just that much
easier for you to convert your friends into ardent Bee readers.
ACTIVE WORK NECESSARY
Don't wait to see whether or not the present Club member in
your town is going to become awake to the opportunity that exists.
Fill out the Entry Blank on this page and send it to the Help Your
self Club Management of The Bee. You will then be supplied with
all necessary forms.
Remember it costs nothing whatsoever to enter this Club. You
have all to gain and nothing to lose.
STANDING OF CLUB MEMBERS
From now on the standing of the Club members will be changed
twice a week Wednesdays and Saturdays. The standings, as they
appear today, only include the votes that were received and counted
at this office before 3 p. m. Monday. The standings that will be in
Saturday's paper will include the votes that are received at this
office before Thursday, 3 p. m.
BURROUGHS ADDING MACHINE USED
To insure accuracy in counting the votes as listed, a Burroughs
Adding Machine is employed.
100,000 Extra Votes for $25 in
Subscription Payments
Besides the regular votes allowed on old and new subscription
payments, as shown in the voting schedule, we make Club Members
an offer of extra votes on subscription payments.
One hundred thousand extra votes will be given to each and
every member who sends or brings $25.00 in subscription payments
to this office on or before Saturday, May 14, at 10 p. m.
New and old subscriptions are' POSITIVELY worth more votes
during this period than they will be at any future time during the
campaign.
The larger the amount you send or bring during this period the
larger your extra ballot will be; for example, $26.00 will give you
104,000 extra votes, $27,00 will give you 108,000 extra votes, etc.
Do not hold back your subscriptions until you have secured the
required amount. Send them in so thaV the subscribers may get
their papers; we in turn will send you a vote certificate to cover,
the various payments, which you may retain as a reserve. A correct
account of the money turned in will be kept at this office and after
the offer closes we will mail you one separate voting ballot cover
ing the number of extra votes due you.
All remittances placed in the mail addressed to the Campaign
Department on or before 10 p. m. Saturday, May 14, will be ac
cepted and counted on this offer. The offer is now open and closes
May 14 at 10 p. m. The campaign does not close until June 25.
