Chicago, ' April 1. The Arizona Eastern railroad, a 360-mile system through the sagebrush of the south west, tired a fusillade against the na tional agreements before the railroad labor board today. Officers of the road appeared .unexpectedly this afternoon after the general rules hearing has ' been adjourned until Monday, but the board reconvened and listened to objections by C. M. Scott, general manager,- and G. P. Billiard, solicitor of Phoenix,' Ariz. The road was made a party to the wage award of 'July, 1920, al though its officers contend that it was never represented before the board. -The officers also said that the Whiter executive committee, how handling the rules case,- is not au thorized to represent the Arizona Eastern and therefore the road filed its own objections to re-establish national agreements. v No agreements have ever been had on the rodd, according to the officers, although there are union men employed on the line. Officers also said that they did not consider themselves bound by the existing; national agreements, but inasmuch as the road was made a party, it was expected the board would in clude them in the roads' decision. Objections were also directed against, this inclusion. The .'heating will convene again Mbnday when Frank P. Walsh, counsel for the unions, will take up the cross-examination of several of the railway executives. Alliance High School Wins Two Firsts in Declamatory Contest Alliance. Neb.. April 1.
