Instead of limiting the distribution of a percentage of earnings over certain sum to "men who occupy official and semi-official positions and who are engaged in directing and managing the affairs of the corpora tion and its several subsidiary com panies," as formerly, the new plan provides that "any employe of the corporation or of its subsidiaries and any person actively engaged in th: conduct of its or their business, who shall have been in the regular and continuous employment of the Cor poration or of its subsidiaries, or who has been actually engaged in the conduct of its or their business of the term 'of one year or more and who, by Ins ability, industry and loyalty has, in the judgment of the committee appointed, rendered serv ices which have contributed in an unusual degree to the success of the corporation, shatl be entitled to share in the distribution of the fund." The election of a committee of three, stockholders at the annual meeting of the corporation is pro vided for, and this committee, be sides being charged with the deter mining of the distribution of the fund, is also empowered to distribute it wholly in cash or partly in United States steel stock.
