Society
Fine Arts Exhibit.
The Henry Golden Dearth "Me-
morial exhibition," which is being
shown at the public library under
the auspices of the Omaha Society
of Fine Arts, is drawing large
crowds, 'according to Mrs. Alfred
Darlow, publicity chairman.
This collection is the largest to be
exhibited by the Fine Arts society
this winter and comprises 71 beauti
ful, as well a valuable paintings,
according to Mrs. Darlow. Three
rooms in the library have been
turned over to the society for the
exhibit, which is open to the public
from 9 a. m. to 5:30 p, m. on week
days. 2 to 6 p. m., Sunday and 7 to
9 o'clock Monday and Saturday eve
nings. .

ceremony took place at 3:30 o'clock
at St. Andrews Episcopal church,

Miss Rita Holland was the bride's

The bride wore a traveling gown,
of dark blue poiret twill combined
with Algerian red duvetyn with a

She was graduated from Central
High school and attended the Uni
versity of Nebraska where she was
a popular member of Kappa Kappa

Suggestions for April Fool's Day.
'Jhc first day of April is kniwn as
"All Fools' Day." Here are a few
suggestions for an April Fool's day
party.
Spirit Charm It is necessary to
have two persons in the secret of
this game. One leaves the room while
the accomplice remains with the
others. The accomplice hides an
article which the other players have
selected, in another room which is
totally dark, placing a watch with a
loud tick near the hidden article. The
others present must know nothing
about the purpose of the watch. Then
the accomplice tells all to be quiet,
very quiet, or else they will spoil
the "spirit charm." Then he calls
in the player and leads him into the
darkened room. The ticking of the
watch guides him to the chosen
article. He and his accomplice al
ternate in hunting the article; when
eventually some one will associate
the ticking with the object hidden,
and in this manner the trick is dis
covered. Pantomime Supply each guest
with a folded slip of paper on which
is written some word or words which
can be acted in pantomime. Every
one must keep his instructions a se
cret, as the rest of the guests are to
guess what he is acting, Arrange the
players in a circle; the one acting in
the pantomime plays in the center,
where all can see him. Suppose one
had "Horse" on his slip: he would
pretend to saddle him, give him a
piece 'of sugar and then mount him.
Another might have "Dog," he would"
pretend to have him do tricks, would
pat him, etc. As soon as it is guessed
what the player is doing the others
call it out.
Naming Compositions Each guest
is' provided with paper and pen
cil. The hostess, or one of the
guests, . then plays two or three
1 measures from some well known or
popular composition on the piano.
Each guest writes down what he
thinks is the name of the piece. If
the player selects two or three meas
ures from the middle of the com
position, there will be some difficulty
and a great deal of amusement in de
termining upon the name. About 10
selections arc played, allowing two
minutes for the writing of each name.
To the person having the greatest
number of correct answers, a book on
some musical subject is .given as a
prize. A pair of doll's slippers,
marked "For de Feet" (for defeat),
is an appropriate bobby prize.
For refreshments, serve saud
wiches, sarlad, coffee or chocolate;
or ice cream, cake and coffee. To
make April Fool's candy, coat small
pebbles or balls of cotton with choco
ate and add red pepper to home made
candies. , ,

Words Krom Nnnie. Give your
guests paper and pencil and RKk them
to make words from letters found in
"April Fools' Pay." For example,
"if." "pool," "rill," "of," etc.
Do not use a letter more times in
one word than it appears in "April
Fools' Day." Place a limit of time
on this panic. You will be surprised
at the number of words possible.
Letters to "Mother and Daughter:"
Letters of advice to "Mother and
Daughter" have been received by
"One Who Has Be'en There." "Six
teen," and ".Miss Eighteen." They
are very good letters but it seem
inadvisable to publish them so long
after the original letters of "Mother
and Daughter" appeared. They are
hereby acknowledged by Miss Fair
fax with her thanks.
Just Fifteen: I would not advise
you to give up the young man. Tou
seem to have pretty good sense about
your friendship. If you refuse to
consider marriage until you ar"e of
age, I think you will be pretty sure
to know your own mind by that time.
I think both you and the young
man might be happier if you would
not confnie yourselves to each other,
but go with other young friends, or
at least feel free to do so should oc
casion arise. I will confess I may be
wrong 'on this point, however. If
your friendship is a very sincere and
happy one, and if you keep a good
sane view of it, it might be better for
you not to make an effort to dissipate
your attentions.
