By J. J. MUNDY. - One of the reasons you have be come tired of restaurants which you patronize and why you wish so often to change boarding places is because ypu encourage thoughts of dislike for the piaces-and the food provided. Often you. are disgusted with a meal before you have seen it. You feel sure you won t be pleased and you know there will not be any thing which will look appetizing to you and, of course, under such cir curristances your mind won't let you like it. Before voir" go around to your eat ing house get rid of the thought, Ihis is Thursday and we shall have corned beef hash," or "This, is Mon day and means chicken croquettes." . Go to your meals with pleasant thoughts, prepared to enjoy, what is good, eat heartily and think how , many there are who cannot get as good. 1 r Dpn't kill your appetite beere you enter the 'dining room. You can, you know. , i Remember you are lucky to have a job and the prfce of three meals a day. Then make up your mind to think less of your food, how it is cooked, what you used to be able to get on the farm and you will be surprised to find how really good things are where you eat. Copyright, 1921. by International Feature Service, Inc. fc ' I'M THE GUY I'M THE GUY who tries to con vince you he didn't call the shot he missed in a pool game. . What of that? It's a good trick if you can get away with it, I'll say. Of course I know as well as you that I called that shot, and misd it. But look at the one I made by accident. I couldn't have done it if I tried to in 100 years. But -just 'because I wasn't trying 1 do the im possible. , So if I can bluff you into letting me get away with it, I'm all to the good. , What do I care if everyone around the table says I called the other shot. lhat doesn t worry me m the least Let them say whatever they want to. 1 should care. I don't care how many witnesses you get the next time to my calling a shot. I his is the time that counts. In a' little while you'll' forget all about it. and I can mill it again. Don't get sore about it and threaten to quit. You'd do the same thing if you got a chance. Its only one of the breaks of the game. ' Be a snort and forget about it. If you get the same chance, and can get away with it, more power to you. But I'd like to see you get away with it. Copyright. 1921, Thompson Feature Service. REAL ESTATE IMPROVED. V South.
