an easy game with Wayne Normal,
34 to 12. The Normalites were out
classed in. every way. They were

Creighton high, advanced another
notch toward the state basket ball
championship Friday night 'on the
Creighton gymnasium floor,, when it
defeated the Auburn quintet by the
score of 24 to 7.
During the early, stages . of the
game the score close, but before
the half-way mark was reached the
locals forged ahead and were leading
6 to 3, at the end of the initial period
of play.
In the second half Creighton out
played the visitors in all departments
of the game.

schools,' colleges and universities in

Invite Athlejic Tutors to
Attend Classes.
Lincoln, Nc-b., Jan. 29. Nebraska
high school coaches will be invited
to attend a school for track coaches
to be given under the direction oi
the University of Nebraska athletic
department in connection with the
Nebraska state high school basket
ball tournament. It will be under
the direction of Henry F. Schulte.
This is one of the first Vteps of the v
athletic department to prepare high.

letes and coaching teams for meets
will be the gist of the instructive
work. The training will be both
practical and theoretical. Coach
Schulte will have the aid of "N"
men, wiio will demonstrate the vari,- i

sprints, "form" for the. jumps and
weights, etc. ( , '
Each coach attending the classes
will be given a handbook on "Track

The Nebraska university mat art
ists scofed an easy victory over the
local . wrestlers Friday night, win
ning four of the weight matches, two
by decision and two by forfeit, scor
ing 40 points to the local's 7.
Stephens of Omaha was injured jn
his amtch with Kecd and was forced
his match with Reed the 145-pound
honors. In the 115-pound class,
Hcrgstrom of Lincoln won from
Skiver of Omaha, and Robiuson,
local wrestler, lost to Powers in two
straight falls. King of Omaha for
feited his match, the 135-pound
class, to Long, for failing to be ready
when time was called. Jim Fer
guson of Omaha lost two falls to
Pickwell of the university team in
the 158-pound class. Trontman of
Nebraska lost to Hason of Omaha
in the 175-pound class, but Hason
lost in the heavyweight to Hoyt,
Cornhusker. , - .

Aruerica's champion race horse,
made his, final appearance , at the
Kenutcky association track Friday
afternoon before a crowd that nearly
filled the big grandstand and at
times overflowed into the infield.
