During the early part of the first haU" the Packers uncorked a streak of clever Jeamwork and close guard ing and managed to score a 10 to 8 lead over the Commercial tossers. Coach Drummond's team tightened its defense around the South Siders and' Kline succeeded in dribbling down the center of the court, finally shooting a basket which evened the rount. Creighton high, advanced another notch toward the state basket ball championship Friday night 'on the Creighton gymnasium floor,, when it defeated the Auburn quintet by the score of 24 to 7. Challenge Farrells Eddie Dygert and Eddie Law ler, present "Y" hand ball double champions, hare issued a chal lenge to the Farrell brothers, Omaha Athletic club doubles handball champions, for a series of 10 games, five to be played at the local "Y" and five at the Omaha Athletic club. The "Y" champions are confident they can beat the O. A. C. champs. The game : was fast throughout, and although the Omaha aggregation was not out ! classed throughout the contest, dur I ing much of the game the local team j played superior basket ball. To Hold School for High Track Coach University of Nebraska Will Invite Athlejic Tutors to Attend Classes. Lincoln, Nc-b., Jan. 29. Nebraska high school coaches will be invited to attend a school for track coaches to be given under the direction oi the University of Nebraska athletic department in connection with the Nebraska state high school basket ball tournament. It will be under the direction of Henry F. Schulte. This is one of the first Vteps of the v athletic department to prepare high. The training will be both practical and theoretical.
