Mrs. T. D. Dinan, recently ap
pointed publicity chairman for the
music department of the Omaha
Woman's club, is well known in mu
sical and club circles as a contralto
soloist. In December Mrs. Dinan
gave three pleasing numbers before
the Woman's club chorus in the Y.
W. C. A. auditorium. She is hading
contralto in the choir of Holy An
gels church and a member of the
music committee of Omaha chapter,
Daughters of the American Revolu
tion. Mrs. .Dinan is also identified

Dr. Valeria H. Parker of Connec
ticut will be one of the noteworthy
speakers at the fifth regional confer
ence. W. C. T. U., to be held in
Omaha February 2 to 4 at the First
Presbyterian church.
Dr. Parker began her work in so
cial hygiene in 1914. when she ac
cepted a position with the Connecti
cut Society of Social Hygiene. To
day she has attained a nation-wide
reputation as an authority and
speaker on the subjects of sex and
social hygiene. During 1919 she
spoke in 24 states, appearing under
the auspices of the national Y. W. C.
A. , of the commission of .training
camp activities, of the American So
cial Hygiene association, as well as
the League of Women Voters.
