Man Hangs Himself as Wife
Refuses to Return to II hn
Thirty minutes after his wife re
fused to return to him after going
to a neighbor's home at 2 a. m. Mon
day, following a quarrel, Joseph
Benaschek, 42, night watchman for
Morris & Co., committed suicide;
Benaschek hanged himself in a
shed at the rear of his home at 5113

When August Klauschkie1, jr.,
2533 K street, learned his father had
been arrested for illegal possession
of seven five-gallon kegS of alcohol
and 50 gallons of mash, he went to
South Side police station where he '
pleaded for his parent on the ground
that he owned the contraband. The
younger Klauschkie was fined $100
and the elder freed. ,

William Tames, negro. Fremont,
who was arrested Saturday for in--

given 30 days in jail by Judge Fos- '

witnesses testified the roll had been
stolen from a wagon belonging to
the Bowen Furniture company.
