Pioneer Oil Man v
Joins Omaha Firm
The L. V. Nichols Oil company
has announced that in line with its
expansion policy this year, L. E.
Thorp, pioneer oil man, has been
appointed manager of its enlarged
lubricating department. Mr. Thorp
has been in the oil business for 33
years and gained much of his ex

pany, where for many years he was
a member of the New York office.
He left them in order to organize
the lubricating and central sales de
partments of the Texas company.
Mr. Thorp has already taken up his
duties in Omaha.
The L. V. Nicholas Oil company
has had a steady and consistent
growth since it started eight years
ago and plans for this year arc such
that its growth in 1921 is expected
to surpass' any preceding two years.
The company now has oil bulk sta
tions in 11 Nebraska cities and has
eight attractive filling stations in
Omaha. Nicholas quality products
are now being sold in this and five
surrounding states and Mr. Nicholas'
famous slogan, "Business Is Good,
Thank You, has spread to practical
ly every corner of the United States.
