The members of the Porcupine club invited the ladies as their guests at the Brandeis Theater last Mondav evening. Mrs. Wadsworth Entertained. In honor of Mrs. Paul Wadsworth of Moline 111., Mrs. George Wick ham invited eight guests to luncheon yesterday, and the afternoon was spent with bridge. R. met with Mrs. Wil liam Coppock Thursday afternoon and a" very interesting talk dealing with the menace of bolshevism was given by Emmet Tinley. Mrs. Daniels, Nee Davis, Feted Visitor Mrs. Robert Daniels of Greeley, Colo., who came with her husband to spend the holidays in Council Bluffs and Omaha, has been honor guest at numerous affairs. Before her mar riage Mrs. Daniels was Miss Adele Davis of Omaha. School Forum Lecturer i in Dr. Hartley Burr Alexander, Uni versity of Nebraska, Lincoln, will speak in Omaha under auspices of the Omaha School Forum on Mon days, beginning January 17, dupli cate lectures at 4 and 8 o'clock, in the council chamber of the city hall." Fifteen lectures under the subject, ."Democratic Ideals!, will comprise the course. Dr. Alexander is professor of philosophy at the state university and is a writer and lecturer of note. He has been strongly identified in Lincoln with the pageants presented at the university during recent years. He has written 'five of these, among which was "The Gate City" devoted to the city of Omaha. A delegation from this city witnessed its presenta tion on the colleg campus in 1916. The more fashionable women in Paris are now wearing rainbow s'ockings. ,. For Mrs. Daniels. Numbered among the delishtfnl parties given during the past -.veek for Mrs. Robert Daniels of Greeley, Lolo., was the luncheon at the home of Mrs. Dillon Ross on Tuesday, covers being placed for 12 guests. On Friday Mrs. Daniels was hon ored at a very pretty tea when Mrs. Carlton Woodward was hostess. Miss Florence Reed of Kansas City, another charming Council Bluffs visitor, was also present. Glee Club Presents Minnesota Singers The Boys' and Girls' Glee club of Central High school will present the Hamline University Glee club of St. Paul, Minn., in a concert January 11 at 8 p. m. at the Central High school auditorium. The object of the concert, accord ing to Carol M. "As the majority of the members of the club have sung together for the last year or more, their director announces that the ensemble sinking will be of a very high order. "The Hamlinites have a plentiful supply of soloist material, which should do much to make their enter tainment pleasing.
