No action was taken by the new boiird of. director! of the Omaha Re tail Grocers' association at the meet ing called by Ernest Buffctt, former president, in the Chamber of Com merce yeiterday afternoon. Failure of several new members to respond to the ex-president's call made it impossible for the board to elect officers. x . The new board was elected Tues day night at a closed meeting of the association in the Masonic temple, after the former board, elected three weeks ago, had resigned. J.J. Cameron, secretary of the Association, had refused to servtf as long as Mr. Buffctt remained presi dent. He charged that the board had been elected in an irregular manner and that its members were also mem bers of a co-operative buying organ ization detrimental to other members and threatened to resign. Mr. Buffett was the only member of the resigned board re-elected o the new board. He had declared Secretary Cameron refused to work in harmony with and had attempted to have his salary increased from $75 to WOO a month.
