bell. I think the same thought
struck both of us, that in s,ome way
the summons concerned me.
"I'll answer it," Mrs. Luker
whispered. "If it's your husband, ,
I'll say I haven't seen you, and do
you get away instantlv. If it should
be anything else of importance for
you to know I'll nod to you. and
you can wait and se what it is."
