Emperor of the Invisible Empire of the Knights of the Ku Klux
Klan which has been resurrected in nine states of the South
under a charter from the . Georgia court. It is devoted pri
marily to "Maintenance of White Supremacy." Only , Ameri
cans who are loyal to the flag and constitution are taken into
the order.

BENEATH THE PLACID EXTERIOR OF
VICTORIA JANUSHAITE, typist, at the Lithuanian
National Council in Washington, D. C is the spirit of
one of the women soldiers of Russia. Miss Janushaite
was in Petrograd when she was placed under arrest.
Making her escape in soldier's garb, she joined a band
of deserters from the Red aimy on its way to Kol
chak's forces, and fought as a man, finally reaching
Vladivostok. "Maybe 1 killed a few," she says,
"maybe many. When you are fighting you don't
stop to count."

construction in the back yard of the Wood home. Mr. Wood will
Sitch his bungalow to an automobile and start for a trip to Florida.
