Members of the Lions club voted at a business meeting in the Rome hotel yesterday to sponsor the Oma ha Girls' community service league. Decision came as a result of a committee investigation into the work of the girlsVcomnninity league, which has taken over the War Camp Community building at Seventeenth street and St. Mary s avenue.. - The-committee made a report of its' findings, stating that it was fav orably impressed because the girls want to be independent and refuse to Accept charity. ' Advisory Committee. '!They just want somebody back of ;them to give them encourage ment," rep6rted the chairman of the committee. It was further voted that the com mittee' already appointed. composed of eight members, be regained to act as an advisory committee to the offi cers of the league. A member of the committee will alspj be appointed to serve on the board of directors of the league to keep the club membership posted.
