But rarely, do we find the person
who has not experienced headache;
of ajll aches it is the commonest.
.Headache, coming occasionally, is usually
traceable to slight disorders of perhaps" the
eyes, and nose, the stomach, bowels, kidneys,
or reproductive organs. Headaches occuring
with greater frequency, or those which are
periodic or .continuous are not to be thought
of and doctored as, a purely Jocal condition.
It is Nature's warning that something Is
wrong within the body and the usual mea
sures to relieve the pain are invariably lnsuf-
ncienr, 10 correct; a cause.
Headache is most frequently a symptom of
the purely nervous trouble like neurasthenia,
hysteria, etc. Disturbance in the circulation
of blood, such as might be entirely local, and
"" in which blood pressure withirr the skull is in
creased, or due to heart or kidney trouble in
which" general blood pressure is raised;
poisons in the circulating blood due to indi
gestion, constipation, or failure of the kid
neys and liver to function and eliminate prop-,
erly, produce headaches. ' - - '
Chiropractic owes its great success in han
y dling this complaint to the fact that the cause
isjgiven attention and corrected. The bodily v
functions are restored to normal, the weak- '
nesses that constitute the foundation for this '
symptom are dealt with and the result is
' health.

Seven Years Ago
r. Shipberd. as vice president and general manage:
of the Bailey Dental Co., recognized the need of a plan
- In dental science that would eliminate many of the un
satisfactory practices then prevailing.. He studied and
experimented with untiring energy and the remark
able growth and progress of his organization is a
splendid tribute to the soundness of his theories.
. Dr. Shipherd was among the first to introduce the
X-Ray in Omaha as applying to the practice of den
tistry and thus be completely revolutionized one of the ,
most important features of dental diagnosis. Another
' important move by Dr. Shipherd in his efforts to put
dentistry on a higher plane of satisfaction was the
naming of ONE FEB to cover the patient's case. In
other words, he introduced a plan that absolutely
eliminated all uncertainty in the patient's mind as to ,
what the expense w,ouid be in completing every feature
the work required in their case.
In pursuing his alms toward BETTER DENTISTRY
Dr. Shipherd determined upon the policy ot telling
every one of his patients just exactly what needed to
be done for their best interests. Many times he has
sacrificed the privilege of caring for a case by refusing
to perform a service in such a way that the ultimate
results would be disappointing to the patient t
. r '
The high regard, in which BS.ILEY DENTISTRY is
held by the thousands ot people who have been our ,
patients is a justly earned compliment to the Ideals
conceived by Dr. Shipherd seven years ago.
Seven years ago Dr. Shipherd had only four asso
ciates, while now fifteen peoplo comprise the organiza
tion. Each and every member of theSBalley staff pos
sesses the abUity that has been broadened and multi-
plied by THOROUGH EXPERIENCE.
