Peace Is Future Policy in Greece Former King Outlines Views To Representative of Paris Publication. Taris, Nov. 20. Former King Conslantine of Greece outlined his views of the future foreign policy of Greece to a representative of the Petit Parisien. "Our policy," King Constantino is reported to have said, "will be one of peace. We must reach an agree ment with Bulgaria concerning Bul garian outlets to the sea, and also must conclude with Serbia a lasting agreement." - "Concerning Aiia, we will hold out for restitution of Greek terri tory, and eventually we will succeed in arriving at such relations with Turkey as wilt put an end to the massacres bf Greeks in Asia Minor. "I always have tried to establish friendly collaboration with Rounian ia and Turkey, and still maintain that our efforts should . be united. But in order that this may be done, Turkey must accept the' accom plished -fact created bythe Sevres treaty. "We shall keep to the letter of the treaties just signed." Lawrence and Harris Jorgenson and Marcus Blumberg, who confessed being wirh Maree Ramey and 'Lillian Thompson, actresses, on a joyride which ended in the death of the two women, were ordered held with out bond bv Coroner Hoffman, fol lowing the inquest. The men re fused to testify. Confessions they were alleged to have made that the two actresses were thrown out ot their automobile, in Grant park where they died, apparently from al coholism and exposure, were read to the jury. ' Strikers Return Madrid, Nov. 20. All the striking store clerks of the city have returned to work, their employers consenting to salary increases ranging from 10 to 40 per cent. "Blue Sky" Acts Objected to By ' Mining Congress Animated Debate Marks Last Day of Annual Convention; Excess Profits Taxes Condemned. Denver, Nov. 20. Animated de bate, which led to withdrawal from the report of the resoutions com mittee oi a clause upholding alt state "blue sky" laws, featured the last session of the twenty-third annual convention of the American Mining congress here. Selection of a 1921 convention city was left to the board of directors. Reports of the resolutions com mittee were adopted unanimously after the debated clause had been stricken out. Federal "blue sky" legislation was objected to. Repeal of excess profit taxes, cre ation of a federal board to settle taxation cases arising out of war conditions, a federal "hands off" pah icy in the coal industry, higher tar iffs on mineral imports and Tower railroad ore rates were among reso lutions which received the conven tion sanction. The "closed shop" was attacked in an address by L. Ward Bannis ter, Denver, who charged labor unions were becoming "a great trust," and declared "open shop sentiment is sweeping the nation." W. G. Bicrd, president of the Chi cago & Alton railroad, said federal control of railroads was a "failure." Speaking of the labor situation, he said "there is still danger from the greed and avarice of the corpora tions class." He said the "classes" of the country must "unite In a com mon interest, with a common pur pose" to achieve settlement of in dustrial problems. Resolutions touching nearly a score of subjects were adopted. Man Drives Three Long Nails Into His Head He Recovers Paris, Nov. 20. At -a recent meet ing of the French Academy of Medicine Professor Reynes, of Mar seilles, recounted how hewas once called in to attend to a madman, who, during a few hours' liberty, had driven three two-inch nails mto his head, piercing the brain. The fellow did not appear to be in pain and did not show the slight est interest when M. Reynes removed the nails. The man was haunted with thoughts of suicide and he was even more depressed when he real ized the nails did not kill him. Kept under- close observation, he was cured of his self-inflicted injuries and died many years later of a natural feverish disease. Bread Prices Reduced. Indianapolis, Nov. 20.
