wealthy shoe manufacturer, was
shot to death when three men in a

mobile in which he and her fiance,

ter was wounded in the arm. Rob
bery was believed to have been the
motive of the attack.
Winter, according to the police,
recognized the photograph of Ches
ter at the bureau of identification as
that of one of the assailants. Winter
declared that Chester fired the shots.
Police .announced two of the three
bandits implicated in the murder of
M iss Barton now were in custody
nd they expected to arrest the other
man soon. One cf the men is being
held at St. Joseph, Mo., on a charge
