Clothing. ; i Tire thieves took the lead in the crime wave which is sweeping Omaha by looting a number of cars Sarked on downtown streets Thurs ay night, according to reports made to Acting Chief of Detectives An- Two tires were stolen from tne au tomobile of Dr; S. McCIenaghanyat Twentieth and Coyd streets. ' Another pair of tires was stolen from the cars of A. G. Heckler, 2034 Farnam stree, at Ames avenue and the boulevard. , . . Two brand new tires were stolen from the automobile of H. J. Pat terson, 501 Farnam building, while parked at Eighteenth and Douglas streets. s Take Everything Loose. Joe Gotsdriner, 1SS2 North Nine - ' tecath street, reported the theft of a t tire from his car standing in front of his home. --Two tires were stolen from the automobile of Mrs. Tillie Hoffman, 3724 North Twenty-first street f - Tires, cushions, headlights1 and everything removable were" stripped froirf the automobile of James Han , sen. 1314 South Thirty-frrlt street, at Fifteenth and Douglas streets. v V. B. Snauldinc. Omaha National Tiank building, reported the theft of Ins overcoat and seat cushions from his automobile at 'Seventeenth add Farnam streets. ' fAn overcoat belonging to W. Merkin, 3519 Hawthorne- avenue, reported the. theft of over coats from their automobile in downtown streets." 'L ! i Two hundred dollars worth of groceries was stolen from the Moore & Co. store, 4001 Grand avenue, by burglars, who effected entrance by breaking down a rear door. ..' . Diamond Ring Gone. ? Albert Edholm, jeweler, Sixteenth , and Harney streets, reported to po lice a stranger entered his store late yesterday afternoon, asked to see some diamonds and made away with a $350 ring when the clerk s atten tion was diverted. A suit of clothes was stolen from the Wood cleaning establishment at Fourteenth and Harney streets. James Gafford, employe of the Fairmont creamery, reported the theft of a watch from the lavatory. Clothing and a diamond ring val ued at 25f was stolen from the j home of Mrs. H.
