The' prevalent city view of the
farmers as rolling in wealth is great
ly out of focus,. according to H. F.
Mcintosh, manager of the agricttl
tural bureau of the Chamber of Com
merce. Loosejtalk of the billions of
revenue from the harvest fields give
an entirely wrong opinion of the size
of the farmers' incomes, he declares.
"Every business man, whether in
Omaha or the country towns, should
want to see the men of the soil pros
per," he said today. "An increase in
the farmers' purchasing power means
a benefit to every merchant. It is
