Following a running gun battle in
which the pursued dashed through
a neighbor's home and' leaped from
a second story window, only to be
taught a few blocks farther on, Ar
nold Solomon. 2702 California strfet,
arrested Thursday night by De
tectives Danbaunrand Palmtag.
Solomon signed a written confes
sion yesterday to the burglary of the
Peregoy & Moore cigaj store. Four
teenth and Howard streets, Tuesday
right. Chief of Detectives Anderson
jsid yesterday.
Runs From Detectives.
Danbaum and Palmtag went to
Solomon's home Thursday night to
arres him. Tey found him leaving
the house. He saw them and ran.
" The detectives pursued him down
Twenty-seventh street to Burt,
where Solomon dashed into a house.
The officers fired several shots at
Solomon and he returned their fire,
they said.

terms in the Lincoln prison, he de
clared. W. W. Dawson, proprietor of a
soft drink stand at 312 North Six
teenth street, was arrested at noon
by Detectives Danbaum and Palm
tag charged with receiving stolen
property.
- The detectives say they found
some of Solomon's loot in the
Dawson establishment. Dawson
was released on $50 bond.

world congress of the Woman's
Christian Temperance union will be
held at Montevideo on December 1,
1922. President Brum said he
would be glad to have the congress
