Misfiring at Low Speed Poor engine operation at low speeds is a common complaint, with the usual cause in the carbure tion system. Often an air leak throws out the carburetor adjust ment so that an insufficient amount of fuel is fed. Wide spark plug gaps with a magneto having weak magnets is a combination which may induce this same trouble. With a battery system in use the igni tion may be neglected ontil the car buretion system has been attended to, and if this fails Vo locate the trouble the ignition should then be overhauled. . Magneto Failure A common cause of poor mag neto action is dirt on the interrupter points. When the points are sus pected of being dirty a few drops of kerosene will icmedy the trou ble and restore the parts to Rood working order. Travel Transport Topics Conducted by Goodrich A motorist can go for a day's travel in any direction from Omaha and felt certain that no muddy road will cause him to be unavoidably de tained. It is possible, of course, for him to break a spring or two and a few of the commandments by 'driv ing recklessly over some of our "metropolitan boulevards," but with a reasonable amount of care he can be assured of a pleasant drive and a safe return. Thousands of Nebraska and Iowa motorists are taking advantage of the warm weather and good roads. The country roads are crowded. Get out and enjoy the fragrance of "new mown hay." The lack of rain for some time has made the roads a little dusty, but they are a great improvement over the roads of spring. Road Report. LINCOLN HIGHWAY: West Detour around Elkhorn grading.
