The large menagerie, as usual, found its share of enthusiasts and the managements estimates at least a ton of peanuts ,was fed the ele phants during the two performances. Lions and tigers, ferocious behind the hars of their cages, emitted snarls ;mc'i roars which rivaled in volume the strains of the steam calliope and the cirens band. And the crowd enjoyed it all ' as it has for scores of years past and doubtless will for scores of years to come. Kammerer Wantd Daughter to Be 'Lady' H Tells His Sister Three-year-old Ruth Naomi Kam merer was kidnaped and taken to Canada by her father, Charles Kam merer, because he "wanted her to grow up like a lady," according to the father's sister, Miss Robing Kammerer, who returned yesterday from a secret trip to Canada ,ki an attempt to bring the child back to its mother here. "I am willing to make another home for my wife if she assures me she will take rood care of Ruthie, but I only ditr what any sane man would do in kidnaping her," Kam merer said, according to his sister. Ruthie's mother, Mrs. Anna Kam merer, has threatened to start ex , tradition proceedings against her divorced husband to force him to return the child and ,stand trial for kidnaping. Negro Talks Himself Out Of Term in Penitentiary k Jack Reed, ne gro was sentenced to 10 years in the penitentiary on a plea of guilty to a charge of break ing and entering by District Judge Troup yesterday. Saunders, negro, was held under a $1,000 bond .for grand larceny, and Josephine Dickson, restaurant keeper, was held on a $5,000 bond for receiving stolen property by Police Judge Fitzgerald yesterday.
