Chicago Grain J By CHARLES D. MICHAELS. Chicago Tribune-Omaha Bee) I-eased Wire). Chicago, June 21. While July and September corn advanced to a new high figure on the crop after a small break early, the best prices were not maintained due to heavy profit-taking by a leading New York trader, and the close was at net gains of llc. Oats showed independent weakness and closed unchanged to He higher, while rye was yiic lower and barley higher. Receipts of cash cprn were smaller than expected and with shippers good buyers of yellow, lo cal traders who sold futures on an early break due to a renewal of the railroad labor troubles in the east were forced to cover. On all the bulges long grain came out in volume, while on the breaks .here was a good class of buying. Chicago Closing Prices. By Updike Grain Co., Doug. 2627. June 21. Art Open. High1. Low. Close.
