While the council of the league of nations is striving to safeguard Persia from the Russian bolsheviki, who already have invaded the country, several other "wars" of varying size and importance are in progress today in Europe and Asia. The most important of these con flicts is that raging between the Russians and the Poles. General Wrangel has taken the place of General Deuikin in south cm Russia and is making va: against the bolsheviki in that quar ter. Beginning his campaign it Crimea, General Wrangel's forces have now fought their way north ward to the Dnieper river, occupy ing territory about twice the tiie ot Crimea in extent. Turkish inhabitants in Anatolia, who are conducting guerilla war fare against the allies, are attacking the French near Heraclia, in Ana tolia. Greeks and Turks Clash. Greek troops and Turkish rebels are at grips in Thrace. Greek forces, supported with machine guns, attacked and dispersed a Turkish band near Kuleli-Burgas. Proclamations have been issued by the Greek army oF occupation in Thrace threatening instant death to all Turkish rebels who are captured. Albanian nationalists are on the warpath against the Italians. Ac cording to Rome advices, quoting the Epoca, the Albanians are mass ing for another big attack against : he Italian army of occupation in A'.bania. Famous German Economist Dies, Says Berlin Paper Berlin, June 16. Prof. Max Weber, 56, an eminent economist, formerly at Heidelburg university tnd recently named successor to t'rof. Lujo Brentano, professor of economics at the University of Munich, is dead, says the Vossische Zeitung. Chicago Aldermen Demand McKelvie Retract Booze Story Chicago, June 16. A resolution calling upon Governor S. R.
