No action concerning the imposi tion of a fee on commercial flyers for the Use of Ak-Sar-Bei field was taken at a meeting of the aerial transportation committee of the Omaha Chamber of ' Commerce, called for consideration of the ques tion yesterday. THE GUMPS- tended aerial callers, in order to promote local aviation activities. E. C. Tuttle, commercial flyer of " Red Oak, la., and Omaha, and .A. ; B. Green of Lincoln, one of the men j interested in the Blue Star Aerial'' Transportation Co., and Superin tendent Votaw and Pilot William DeWatd of the air mail service, at tended the meeting. Mr. Votaw ex-v plained that at this time there is no desire on the part of the govern ment to charge others for alighting and taking off from the field. It is desirable, he pointed out, that ground regulations, to govern the conduct of planes and of crowds, be put into effect. Signs warning visitors of. dangerous areas will be put up, he said. According to the aviators attend ing the meeting, no huge sums have been realised from passenger flights since the field became a government station. Ibere have been only a few days of good flying weather this . year, they said.
