Chil dren suffer from malnutrition and become! crippled and dwarfed and hampered through life because society has neglected the education of the . mothers. Thousands of dollars are spent for charity that should be spent for education of mothers. Two hundred and fifty thousand children were sacrificed on the altar of ignorance in the United States last year. Omaha should have its "SCHOOL OF MOTHERHOOD" where young women could be trained in the proper care and feeding of the young. Omaha makes no provision in its educational system for this most important work in our national life. The greatest thing that the city of Omaha could do for its people would be to establish a School of Motherhood in connec tion with its educational system. ; This is one of the subjects discussed by Miss Lutie E. Stearns in her lec tures at the Alamito Dairy Com pany, Leavenworth and Twenty sixth streets, every afternoon this month at 2 : 30 o'clock.
