Vesper Service, 5 P. M. At the
V. W. . A. Sunday, April 11. will
be a program of Easter music by the
choir of Grace Methodist Episcopal
church. The "Pollyanna class" will
act as hostesses for the social hour
following vesper' service.
Physical Education Department
The annual gymnasium banquet was
held Wednesday evening, April 7, in
delegates to the national Y. W. LA.
with about 200 in attendance. Those
present were seated by classes and
there was strong competition among
them in songs, yells and table dec
orations. At this time announcement of the
demonstration April 27 was made
and tickets were distributed among
the various members.
Miss Jean Berger, delegate from
the gymnasium department to the
annual Y. W. C. A. convention in
Cleveland, leaves Monday night with
othersof the delegation to attend
the convention, April 13 to 20.
Girl . Reserves Saturday, the
Seventh and Eighth Grade Girl re
serves will hold a general meeting
at the'Y. W. C. A. Vera Cassell
and the girls of Mason school will
at that , time present "Pandora's
Box."
Alumni club girls of the Y. V.
C. A. had a hike and picnic supper
at Bellvicw and Manden park on
Saturday afternoon. About 20 girls
with Miss Helen Judd and Fay
Stalil Girl Reserve secretaries, took
the trip..

A Japanese booth will be one of the attractions at the benefit bazar which will be given April
16 and 17 at the city auditorium in Council Bluffs, under the auspices of central chapter of St. Pauls
Episcopal church. Three charming Geisha girls wU serve tea. The Atlantic City board walk, with all
its magic and brillance will be reproduced.

Friday, April 9. Representatives
from the various clubs met for sup
per, bringing their men friends
along. After supper the girls and
boys had a candy-making party in
the domestic science room, no boy
being allowed to remain who didn't
do. something, make candy or wash

candy was quite a success.
This party was held for th$ pur
pose of making candy for a candy
sale held on Saturday, proceeds to
be used for defraying expenses of
delegates to national Y. W. C. A.
convention.
Monday, 6 p. ru. Members from
all clubs meet for supper. The fed
eration program will be: Singing,
etc., by V. D. T. club, from 7 to
7:30. At 7:30 Mr. E. C. Page,
prominent attorney, will conduct the
third talk of a series on citizen
ship. The subject will be "City
and Town Government."
Miss Agnes Swanback, member of
the General Pershing club, was'
elected from the federation as the
delegate to go to the national Y.
VV. i C. A. convention to be held in
Cleveland, April 13 to 20..
Girls from the various clubs were
nominated and Miss Swanback re
ceived the highest number of votes,
which gives her the privilege of
representing the industrial extension
department of the Y. W. C. A.
Massachusetts lias the greatest
preponderance of women "voters"
with 58.264 more women than men.
North Carolina is next with a wom
an's majority of 15.288 and South
Carolina, with 10..507. is third, in
Rhode Island women of voting age
outnumber men by 3,196, and in
Maryland by 1,292.

bilities on a special mission for the

the guild room of the church, Sat
urday, April 17, for the benefit of

guild is made up of young girls, 12
to 16 years of age.. They meet ev
ery two weeks at the home of one of
the members and sew for charitable
organizations. At their Christmas
bazaar they netted over $130. .
