Hastings, dean of the law college of the University of Ne braska, today declared in favor of General Pershing for president of the United States in a statement to Mark W. Woods, chairman of the Pershing organization. "The lads of the law college like to recall that General Pershing was once of their number," said Dean Hastings, "and it will be difficult to lead them to support any other can didate of any party as long as Gen eral Pershing is iff the field."
