Says Twenty-fourth
Should Be Widened
With Plaza In Center .
Increasing the width of Twenty-
fourth street from Cumins street to -Leavenworth
street to 100 feet was
recommended in a report on city X
planning submitted yesterday to the ,
Omaha city planning board by ;
Thomas Adams, Canadian minister -of
honsirg and town planning, who "5
recently inspected the Omaha situa-i
tion. . ! .
According to Mr. Adams, Twenty
fonrth street will inevitably become
one of the principal business streets
cf the city. He pointed out in his
recommendation that it is the only , '
street directly linking Florence and : '
the South Side, and that traffic Oil ;.
the street will increase as the bust-. 1
liess district expands. ' - -'
A considerable portion of his re
port dealt with the.scenic possibli- ,
ties in Omaha.
He particularly favored in his re- - ,
