A plan which provides that ten
ants pay a part or all of any increase
in state, city and; county taxes on
property which they hold, now in
general use in Minneapolis, is being
discussed by Omaha realtors.
As recently presented by Fr'ed
G. Smith, a Minneapolis realtor, the
plan also provides that in case
tax assesments on the property de
crease the lessor shall allow the
tenant his proportion of the de
crease. Mr. Smith also declared hitnseli
in favor of having the tenant absorb
at least part of the heating expenses.
"If the tenant W paying for' his
heating he will cut its cost to a
minimum and will be quick to in
vestigate tho cause of any increase
in tax assesments if he is paying
for part of the increase," Mr! Smith
explained.
I.-Shuler, president of the Omaha
Real Estate board, said yesterday
that the plan would probably be
brought before the board in" the
near future.
If the plan is inaugurated here,
it will apply only on downtown
property, in Mr. Shuler's opinion.

Gasoline took another jump in
price in Omaha Friday. The price
now is 27 ceuts a gallon for low

The Caldwell Acres .Improvement
association will be organized at this
meeting. This club will begin activity
immediately by .circulating petitions
among residents of Forty-second
street, asking city commissioners to
pass an ordinance providing for this
improvement. A survey has been
completed in readiness to start work.
Provide New Avenue.
XH's move would provide another
avenue ending right at the stock
yards. According to Mr. Robertson,
a bus line has been promised the

is not open, between Leavenworth
and Center street. Much grading
would be necessary from this point
