total of 118,409 French certificates
will be bestowed tomorrow upon the
next of kin of the Americans who
died in tile world war, it was an
nounced today at the 'national head
quarters of the American Legion,
which will Jiave supervision of the
ceremonies fo be Ijeld in all parts of
the country. The nation's5 honor
roll is comprised of 107,952 soldiers.
6,500 sailors and 3,657 marines.
In the bestowal of these French
memoriam certificates of honor and
esteejn, France pays homage to
America's dead in the late-war on
the birthday of George Washington,
which also wil be observed in many
churches of the country as "Ameri
can. Legion Sunday," when the work
of the American Legion will be ex
plained from the pulpits.
The marine corps received its al
lotment of testimonials at too late
a date to address and send to the lo
cal posts ofMhe American Legion
for presentation tomorrow, and these
will be mailed direct to the next of
kin. . '
Mother Hangs Self From Tree
Red' Bay, Ala., Feb. 21. After
climbing to the top of a tall tree
Mrs. VVestey Collum, 30 years old,
mother of six children, tied a rope
about her neck and jumped. Her
husband found the dead body swing

moved her shoes. She had not been

conference to postpone drafting the

the Turks it would be submitted for
approval to 'our great associate.' -

way one looks at it the work done in

threatened, as a word from across
