tion gymnasium, and cage fans have
a real treat in stre for them

Promise Pull Turnout.
Church league follows have
promised to turn out in full force on
Thursday night to see their favorites
perform and, according to the
schedule, all of the games should be
hard fought from start to finish. The
quintets iit this organization have
played great ball thus far and the
games have all proven interesting.
Although the Pearl M. E. are
leading the league with a clean slate,
followers of the Trinity Baptists are
predicting a defeat for the leaders.
The Trinity lads have strengthened
their line-up and are out to carry off
the laurels. '

Polish Wrestler Returns
to Meet Stecher for Title

Zbyszko, the Polish wrestler, who
claims the world's title at the
Graeco-Roman style ancl Was sec
ond only to the late Frank Gotch,
the catcn-as-catch-can champion six
years ago, arrived here on the Dan
ish steamer Oscar II.
Zbyszko, who was interned in
Russia for over four years, returns
here to challenge for the title now
held by Joe Stecher. ' v
Thompson Signs With Browns.
Joplin, Mo., Feb. 1-5. Frankie
Thompson, third baseman, has re
turned his signed contract to the
St. Louis American league team
and is prepared to start to Taylori
Tex., February 24 for the Spring
training season. Thompson was
purchased by the Browns from -the
Joplin Western league team before"
the close of the season last fall. Pat
Collins, former catcher of the Jop
lin team, and Rolla (Sug) 'Mapel,

Troeh Comes From Behind
and Wins Amateur Title
Kansas City, Mo., Feb. IS. Frank
M. Troeh of Vancouver, Wash.,"won
the international amateur wing shot,
the principal event of the Interstate
Trap-Shooting tournament in prog
ress here since last Monday.
Troeh came from behind and de
feated Harry Snyder of Kansas City,
who led when the first half of the
event was completed yesterday. His
score wfcs 95. In addition to win
ning the title, Troeh also captured
first cash prize.
The five high shooters who won
cash prizes offered in connection with
the event are: E. B. Melrath, Phila
delphia, 92; H. C. Heredon, George
town, Ky 91; B. F. Elbert, Des
Moines, la., 90; William Wetleaf,
Nichols, la., 90; Harry Snyder, Kan
sas City, 89. Elbert and Wetleaf
split the fourth prize, to which their
tie of 90 entitled them. The tourna-
menf ended today. ' .

, Five Games This Week
Only three basket ball games will
be staged by the local high schools
in the city this week. Two of the
contests will be staged in the city,
while the third will be played in St.
Joe. The High School of Com
mence will mix with Council Bluffs
High, while Central High will take
on St. Joe High. South Side High
wiil clash with' Council Bluffs.
The Commerce-Council Bluffs
game will be played Saturday night
at the local Y. M. C A. court.
The bookkeepers have only one
more game on their schedule and
that is with Coach Mulligan's boys

Postpone Meeting in K. C.
Kansas City, Mo., Feb. 15. The
schedule meeting of the Western
league, to have been held here Mon
day, has been postponed until Wed
nesday. ,
The inability of several club own-

The league's 1920 schedule was
drafted at Chicago last .week and the
magnates decided to take it up for
adoption at the Kansas City meet
