Zimmer, President, Omaha Liberty Fire Insurance Com pan v, IS 17 Douglas Street, Omaha. Nebraska. Hear Mr. Zimmer: Thank you for sending us the financial statement of the Com pany. It is a splendid showing, you certainly ought to be proud of it. and we all want to congratu late you. Yours verv trulv, ' T. L. DAVIS Vice President State of Nebraska Fire Commission Hear Sir; Iincoln, Neh. June 17, IdlO. I have known P. F. Zimmer, president of the Omaha Liberty Fire Insurance Company, for more than twenty years. During all this time he has been actively engaged in the insurance business and no man in the middle west has a better reputation for honesty and square deal ing, and no man is better posted along insurance lines than he W. No better proof of this could be given than the fact that many patrons of his company have been customers continuously dur ing all thee year?. Very truly, E. D. BEACH State Fir Commissioner. P, F. Zimmer, President and Manager, is one of the best known insurance men in the middle west, and the stockholders of the Omaha Liberty Fire are mostly personal acquaintances of his. Many of the stock holders at the annual meeting increased their investment in the company. From the 'ist it will be seen that the stockholders are leading business men. bankers and farmers. twenty-fivibeing country bankers who have had business dealings with the N'ebranka National Insurance Company, managed by Mr. Zimmer for the past, twenty-one years. The Nebraska National being a Mutual Company, Mr. Zimmer and his associates saw the need of a good, strong Fire Insurance Company, and, having an agency force of over FOUR HUNDRED produc ing more business than could be carried in a Mutual Company, they organized the Omaha Liberty Fire Insur ance Company early in 1010. The Company was licensed in March and up to December .'U. 1019, received $1 58,020.33 in premiums and at as low an expense as though the Company was established in business for the last 25 years. In fact, the new Company is being managed at a lower expense ratio than the average of 106 American and 38 foreign fire insurance companies belonging to the National Board of Fire Underwriters of the United States. The Omaha Liberty Fire hit an authorized capital of $500, onn and surplus of $1,000,000; ?r5-.r..i)00 capital and surplus has been paid in to date, by Nebraska stockholders and the Company has just received a license to sell $1 50,000,00 capital and surplus In Iowa. Applications are being made for admittance to Kansns and Minnesota for the sale of stock and to transact an insurance business. i Need for More Companies lion. M. J. C'leary, commissioner of Wisconsin, says there is a need for more Fire Insurance Companies in the United States and gives the reasons in n in terview, quoted as follows; "You ask my opinion as to the de mand for anil possibility of success of such an institution. The capacity of fir insurance compnnict now operating in the. United States is taxed to its limit. This is due largely to the forced retire ment of C.rrman and Austrian com panies doing business in this country. They carried a large volume of Ameri can business. The material increase in values during the past two years ha.s further served to tax the capacity of existing institution. Our experience dur ing the past two years is likely to en courage the ose of American companies for reinsurance in the future. There Is a general feeling that American capital should furnish to a large extent insur ance facilities for American business. In my opinion, the opportunity for capi tal in the field of fire mora than at any time in many years is most promising. I don't believe that this opportunity will end with the war." Tht Spectator, New York. THE First National Bank of Lincoln Capital and Surplus, .$800,000. Lincoln, Neb., May 13, lOIO. Regarding Mr. P. F. Zimmer. president of the Omaha Liberty I''ir Insurance Company, will say thai I have known Mr. Zimmer for the past twenty years, during which time he has been a custo mer of this bank. I hac always found him straightfor ward and honorable in all hi. a transac tions, and conservative in business. He is thoroughly acquainted with the in surance business, having had years of experience in it. v I tlo not think he would identify him self with any but a legitimate enter prise. Respectful, S. II . BURN HAM president. P. F. ZIMMER President and Manager 28 Years' Successful Insurance Business AMERICAN STATE BANK York, Nebraska, Jan. 24, 1920. Mr. P. F. Zimmer. President. Omaha Liberty Fire Insurance Co., Omaha, Neb. Dear Sir: I extend congratulations to you fr the showing evidenced by the statement sent with your letter. Yoors very truly, JL 8. CARSCADDEN Vice President The Trade Review Lincoln, Neb. May 12, T tsant to say that for the past t wenty cars, I have known from acquaintance and through my newspaper work of the growth and development of the insur ance interests represented by Mr. P. F. Zimmer. There is no doubt in my mind but that the field for successful home companies is only yet slightly touched upon. The future Mr. Zimmer's company, to my mind, is one of the most promising of any line of business and I see no rea son why the Omaha Liberty Fire should not become, not only one of the great est, insurance companies in this section, but also one profitable for all those who are investors in it. - Yours yery truly, H. M. BUSHNELL Jacob North & Co, Printers - Binders Lincoln, Neb. May 21, 1919. We have known Mr. P. F. Zimmer for the past twenty years as a clean-cut hon orable business man whose word can be thoroughly depended upon. Adams, vice presidents, are both well known business men and bankers of Tender, Nebraska, and P. F.
