On Friday, January Second, We Will Usher in the New Year With n inn r v . aie oi miens an w nite umm Our Annua I i I I n 1 ti I ft1.. I n i I I FOLLOWING the custom of years our Annual January White Sale is announced. A decent regard for candor, which is ingrained in this insti tution, leads us to make the following statement: "While liberal reductions from past prices are offered on seasonable merchandise and broken assortments, we believe we are serving our patrons veil when we offer our present am ple stock of staple merchandise at prices based upon early buying. "Hence in the interest of honesty we ex plain that the reductions referred to on these lines mean comparisons with present market prices. "We see nowhere the relief of a declining market, but every indication of a continued strong demand and consequently advancing prices." Gratefully we appreciate the continued confi dence and patronage which has come to us in such liberal measure throughout the years and wish for all a happy year to come. PRESIDENT.
